The Egyptian national team players sounded their optimism following the World Cup draw which paired them with hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia on Friday.
Playing in Group A, Egypt is set to kick off their World Cup campaign against Uruguay on June 15 before playing Russia four days later. The Pharaohs meet Saudi Arabia in the last group game on June 25.
"Get ready for the Pharaohs. We are not just 11 players, we are 100 million," Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny wrote on his personal Twitter account while mentioning Uruguay stars Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Godin, referring to his country's population.

Veteran Egypt keeper Essam El-Hadary, meanwhile, expressed his delight over meeting fellow Arabs Saudi Arabia in the World Cup, relishing the prospect of playing the Asian side after qualifying together for the tournament for the first time.
"Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Uruguay… welcome Saudi Arabia, it's the first time to be there in the World Cup together and in the same group. Together we could make history for the Arabs," El-Hadary wrote on Twitter.
