Lebanese directorHady Zaccak's documentary Ya Omri (104 Wrinkles, 2016), paying homage to his aging grandmother, will have a special screening at Cairo's Zawya cinema on Sunday 7 January.
The film is "a journey about ageing, memory and life", reads the film's official synopsis.
"Hady follows his grandmother Henriette as she ages and crosses the centenarian milestone to reach 104 years. He witnesses the transformation of her memory, her emigration from Lebanon to Brazil and the stories of love, children and suspended time."
104 Wrinkles won the Award of Merit at Docs Without Borders Film Festival (USA, 2017). It also scopped the Jury Award at Malmo Arab Film Festival (Sweden, 2017) and an Award of Recognition at the Impact Docs Awards (USA, 2017).
