Enppi announced on Wednesday that their goalkeeper Ali Lotfi has completed a move to Cairo giants Ahly.

Ahly have signed the player on a four-and-a-half-year contract, Enppi said on their official Facebook page.

The 28-year-old, who has been ENPPI's first-choice goalkeeper since 2009, should stay at Ahly until the summer of 2023.

Lotfi is Ahly's second signing in the January transfer window after Ghazl El-Mahalla's youth midfielder Mohamed Fakhry, who joined the Red Devils earlier this month.

Ahly have been on the lookout for a new goalkeeper after Sherif Ekramy, who used to be their first-choice goalie, committed a number of high-profile errors in recent months.

Mohamed El-Shennawi has recently overtaken Ekramy as Ahly's regular goalkeeper.
