Morocco’s striker Marouane Chamakh has hinted that he may leave English Premier League giants Arsenal if he remained out-of-favour at the club.

“"I am 27. I need to play. I cannot stay like this forever. If I played more, of course I would have more confidence and score more goals,” the talented striker told a French TV station on Monday.

making a quick impact after his arrival from France’s Bordeaux, Chamakh scored 11 goals for the gunners last season but he found his chances to play in the starting lineup this season limited. This comes despite the fact that he remains one of the arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s long-term plans.

The Moroccan international, who may not be available for two months if he joined the Atlas Lions in the African nations cup in January, began to lose patience and hints he could leave the club in the summer transfer window.

“I would have an "important decision" to make in the summer. If I was to return to France one day in my career, Bordeaux would be my preferred destination,” added the player who captained morocco for the first time in 2010.
