Art Alert: Cairo’s ArtsMart gallery sets artworks to music

The ArtsMart gallery will hold an evening titled Orchestra in Art on 23 March, featuring three Egyptian tenors performing alongside the artworks on display.

In its second concert held at ArtsMart,the United Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Nader Abbassi, featuring Egyptian award-winning tenors Hany Abdelzaher, Ragaa Eldin, and Amr Medhat.

The evening will include famed arias from the Italian opera and the Neapolitan songs, performed amidst a group exhibition showcasing works by Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen, Britt Boutros Ghali, Gamal Meleka, Lina Mowafy, Ibrahim El Tanbouli and Mostafa Rahma, among others.

This is the second edition of Orchestra in Art, which, according to the event description, “aims to create a meaningful interaction between the audience and the arts, raising awareness about local artists across both the performing and visual arts platforms.”
