Egypt's Meteorological Authority warns of a dust storm on Wednesday

Egypt's Meteorological Authority issued a warning on Tuesday that a dust storm would hit the country on Wednesday.

According to the authority's statement, the weather will be unstable on Wednesday and a southeasterly wind will reach the level of dust storm in many parts of the country.

The authority also warned that navigation may be disrupted in the Red and Mediterranean Seas, as well as in the Gulf of Suez.

The authority also added that there could be rain in various parts in Egypt.

The temperature will reach a high of 35 degrees and a low of 21 in Cairo and the Nile Delta.

In Alexandria, the temperature will be a more moderate 27 degrees at high and 14 degrees at low.

In North Sinai, the temperature will reach a high of 30 degrees and a low of 15, whereas in Upper Egypt, a high of 40 and a low of 24 is forecast.

Wednesday is the last day in which Egyptians can cast their votes nationwide in the three-day presidential elections. Polling stations open their doors at 9am and close at 9pm.
