Colombian striker Diego Calderon has been ruled out of Ismaily's crucial Egyptian league fixture with rivals Zamalek at Ismailia Stadium on Monday.
With both teams vying for the CAF Champions League-qualifying second spot, Ismaily will be keen to remain ahead of Zamalek - who are two points behind the Dervishes in third place.
The absence of top-scorer Calderon, out with a toe injury that is set to sideline him for at least three weeks, is likely to deprive Ismaily of immense firepower upfront, with the 28-year-old bagging 14 goals in the league this season.
After briefly challenging for the league, second-placed Ismaily have only a runner-up finish to target after defending champions Ahly secured the title with weeks to spare.
