Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has ordered emergency aid to Sudan to help deal with the impact of recent flooding in the country, Ahram Arabic news website quoted presidential Bassam Rady as saying.
At least 23 people have been killed in heavy flooding in Sudan over the past three weeks, according to Sudanese medics.
The Red Crescent Society said earlier this week that the seasonal floods have injured at least dozens others others since 23 July.
It added that the heavy rainfall has affected more than 45,000 people, left more than 8,900 families homeless and caused considerable damage to key infrastructure.
According to Sky News Arabia, heavy rains on Wednesday on the capital Khartoum flooded the streets and led to power outages in most neighourhoods.
