The 5th Arab Youth Forum started 29 August and is ongoing until 7 September, held at the Olympic Centre in Maadi.

The delegation included 86 young men and women from eight Arab countries: Palestine, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan, Comoros, Somalia, Sudan and Egypt.

The aim of the forum is to reinforce the values of citizenship and Arab identity and to reinforce national culture through visits to tourist and archeological sites. The forum includes a number of workshops focused on Arab issues, and a simulation session at the Arab League.
