Egypt's Ministry of Youth and Sports, in collaboration with Germany's GIZ initiative, will hold the ‘Youth against Sexual Harassment’ event on 29 November at the Gezira Youth Centre in Cairo.

The event includes five music performances by Egyptian bands Massar Egbari, Youssra El-Hawary, Shereen Abdo, Fatma Adel and Bahgaga.

The 'Youth against Sexual Harassment' initiative, which is currently running in 12 different governorates, has been implemented in cooperation with The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) since 2016 and will run until 2019.

"The Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as selected non-governmental actors and young men and women are actively working to combat sexual harassment," GIZ stated through their official website.

Minister Ashraf Sobhi will be opening the event with a short speech before an exhibition is held for some NGOs.
