Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi toured on Thursday a number of projects in the New Administrative Capital currently built near Cairo, the Egyptian presidency said.

According to the presidency, El-Sisi visited the Cathedral of the Nativity and El-Fatah Al-Aleem Mosque, both of which are currently under construction and are set to be the largest of their kind in the Middle East.

The president also visited the new under-construction Sports City, the Council for the Families of the Martyrs and the Injured,and a new residential district to the south of El-Shorouq City.

El-Sisi also visited a number of new projects on roads and transportation, including upgrades on Field Marshal Tantawy axis, the Ring Road, the Cairo-Ismailia highway and Cairo-Belbeis highway.
