Egypt's Ismaily name Macedonian Janevski as new coach

Egyptian side Ismaily named Macedonian Cedomir Janevski as their new coach following the resignation of Brazilian Jorvan Vieira, the club announced on Saturday.

Ismaily said the 57-year-old will be in charge of the club for a year and a half.

He succeeds Vieira, who left the club after only two months following a string of poor results, which saw the team slip to the bottom of the Egyptian Premier League table with 13 points from as many games. They also exited the Arab Zayed Cup at the last 16 stage.

Janevski was most recently the coach of Macedonian side FK Vardar. He is best known for leading Club Brugge to the Belgian Cup title in 2007.

He led a host of clubs including Greek giants Olympiacos and Serbia's Red Star Belgrade.

Janevski is Ismaily's third coach of the season after Algerian Khaireddine Madhoui and Vieira.
