Egypt's Sisi meets officials from Austrian, Egyptian firms to boost investment

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met on Wednesday with a number of heads and representatives of Egyptian and Austrian companies as well as members of the Egyptian-Austrian Business Council at the end of his four-day visit to the Austrian capital, state news agency MENA reported.

The talks tackled means of boosting Austrian investments in Egypt in light of the recent measures adopted by the Egyptian government to ensure an investment-friendly environment and give momentum to international trade.

According to MENA, trade exchange between Egypt and Austria has hit $400 million, which is equivalent to EGP 7 billion.

MENA also reported that 600 Austrian companies currently operate in Egypt.

Following the meeting, El-Sisi concluded his four-day visit to Vienna and returned to Cairo.
