Egypt's Ahly enlists new big guns in Algeria's JS Saoura clash in CAF Champions League

Ahly's Uruguayan coach Martin Lasarte has announced the Red Devils squad for Friday's game against Algerian side JS Saoura in Bechar in the second round of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Lasarte has enlisted the help of newly signed players including midfielder Hamdi Fathi, who joined the team from ENPPI on Sunday, defender Yasser Ibrahim, who joined the team from Smouha last week, as well Nigerian forward Junior Ajayi who recently recovered from a five-month-old injury.

Ahly opened their African Champions League campaign on Saturday with a 2-0 win over DR Congo's Vita Club in Alexandria.

The Red Devils, who lost the Champions League in the final in the past two seasons, are second in Group D with three points, behind leaders Simba on goal difference after the Tanzanian side crushed Algeria's JS Saoura 3-0 earlier on Saturday.

Defenders: Mohamed Hani, Yasser Ibrahim, Ayman Ashraf, Ali Maaloul
