Egypt's Zamalek face easy test in African Confederation Cup group stage

Zamalek was in luck on Monday as they received an easy draw to face Algerian Nasr Athletic Hussein Dey, Angolan Atletico Petroleos de Luanda and Kenya's Gor Mahia FC in Group D of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Cairo giants booked their place in Africa's secondary club competition group stage after beating Morocco's Ittihad Tanger 3-1 in the round of 32 on aggregate last week

Zamalek will start their mission by playing Kenya's Gor Mahia FC on 3 February, then they will face Algerian Nasr Athletic Hussein Dey on 13 February before playing Angolan Atletico Petroleos de Luanda on 24 of the same month.

The Whites start the second leg games on 3 March with playing Atletico Petroleos then facing Gor Mahia on 10 March before finishing the group stage games by playing Nasr Athletic Hussein Dey on 17 March.

This year, Zamalek have a chance to win the CAF Confederation Cup title for the first time.
