Egyptian pop star Mohamed Hamaki was trending over the weekend in Egypt after releasing his new album 'Kol Youm Men Dah,' which contains 20 songs.

Millions of the singer's fans expressed excitement and appreciation for the album, for which they had waited for almost four years since his last album 'Omroh Ma Yeghib' was released.

The multi-award-winning Hamaki, 43, collaborated with members of his old crew like lyricists Ayman Bahgat Kamar, Amir Toaimah and Tamer Hussein, composers Amr Mostafa, Aziz El-Shafey, and Mohamed Yehia, and music producers Tamim and Toma.

The lyrics, which generally follow the typical romantic tropes, saw an exceptionally nostalgic theme in 'Sewar,' while 'Ya Ghorba' touched on a social theme about the pains of a man who was forced to leave his country.

The styles of the album, which vary between traditional Eastern sounds, contemporary pop and Latin tunes, was dominated by electronic beats where the kick drum is always the hero, strengthened by live percussion and the guitar rhythm of the prominent Mostafa Aslan and the bass guitar of Ahmed Ragab. Some Eastern lead instruments like the oud, the ney and accordion also accompany the vocals.

Hamaki has not released any video clips from the album, departing from the trend of shooting an entire album, which has been adopted by many singers and bands. He is expected to release a few clips in the future, however.

The album is still trending on social media and local radio stations, and each song is expected amass a few million listeners online over the coming weeks.

Hamaki, who started as a composer for many years, gained widespread fame after his first album 'Khalina Neish' was released in 2003.
