World Para Volleyball President Barry Couzner will visit in Egypt on Thursday for the first time to attend the inauguration of the Egypt Para Volley Federation and the Super League match between Port Said's Horreya and Alexandria's El-Mostaqbal.

This is the first time for Couzner to visit Africa and the Middle East.

Couzner has said that he accepted an invitation by Egypt Para Volley President Hossam Eldin Mustafa to visit the country because he respects the Egyptian Federation and the Egyptian Para Volley team, which collected the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics.

Mustafa is also the former president of both the World Para Volleyball and the Egyptian Paralympic Committee.

Egypt's Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy, together with the Paralympic Committee board members, will attend the Super League to welcome Couzner and cheer the players in their first official match.

Aside from Mustafa, the Egypt Para Volley is headed by Gamal Hilal as vice president, Emad Ramadan as treasurer and committee members Azza Tourki, Ehab Hassanean, Abdel-Fattah Hassan and Ghareib Edris.
