Janan band are playing a concert at Sawy Culturewheel on Saturday.
The Egyptian alt rock band is fronted by singer-songwriter Noha Fekry, who started the band in 2016.
She was joined later by guitarist Tarek Abdelkawi, keyboard player Ahmed Kamar, bassist Yamen El-Gammal, and drummer Mohamed Alfakharany.
The band plays original music composed by Fekry, and arranged by the band, mixing dramatic lyrics and modern pop-rock sounds.
They have released four singles: El-Ashq Hala, Lahza, Mehtagak, and Antom.
Their songs are about many different subjects, from the beauty of life to its struggles. Their music and arrangements include various music forms and styles.
Fekry, who also started a jazz quartet, has featured with famous artists like Lebanese Ziad Al-Rahbani and has participated in international music festivals.
