MENA , Monday 22 Apr 2019

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday stressed that an ambitious and gradual action plan should be developed to put the Arab strategy on investing in youths’ potential and combating extremism into force.

He made his statements during receiving Arab ministers of youths and sports in the presence of Egyptian Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi.

Sisi reiterated that youths constitute a large portion of the Arab population, so their potential should be utilized.

The president underlined the importance of protecting youths against attempts to exploit them to destroy their own countries through extremist thought and ideologies.

Sisi welcomed the Arab ministers and called on them to develop the sporting, social and cultural levels of youths and raise their awareness of the challenges facing their countries, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.

The meeting included an open dialogue and sharing of visions on the experience of Arab countries in fighting extremism, Radi added.
