President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed cooperation with Chadian President Idriss Deby during Cairo talks on Tuesday, Egypt's presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
El-Sisi hailed close ties linking the two countries, stressing Egypt's keenness to boost its relations with Chad at various levels, taking into account their strategic neighborhood and identical views on many regional and international issues.
El-Sisi stressed Egypt's interest in continuing cooperation with Chad in the area of capacity building by offering training programs for Chadian talents in various fields, mainly in the healthcare sector.
During the talks, Deby stressed the need to promote stability and development in the African continent amid El-Sisis's current rotating presidency of the African Union.
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Head of the Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel attended the meeting.
