Sisi conveys Egypt's solidarity with Saudi government and people to kingdom's ambassador

Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday received SaudiAmbassadortoEgypt Osama al-Nugali, who conveyedgreetings from KingSalman bin Abdulaziz and Crown PrinceMohamed binSalman.

According to a statement from El-Sisi’s spokesmanBassam Rady, Ambassador al-Nugali also passed on an invitation to President El-Sisi from King Salman to attend the 14th summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, due to be held at the end of the month in Mecca.

The Saudi ambassador also expressed the kingdom'sdeepest appreciationfor the strong and supportive stance of Egypt incondemning the recent attacks by explosive-laden drones on two oil pumping stations in Saudi Arabia last week.

El-Sisi conveyed his greetings to the king and the crown prince, emphasising Egypt's solidarity with the Saudi government and people in confronting all attempts at undermining the security and stability of the kingdom and the security of the Arab Gulf in general.

The president added that the current common challenges dictate the necessity of close coordination between the two countries in order to confront all threats to Arab national security and regional stability, stressing the fraternal ties between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
