The two films will be screened on two consecutive Sundays with directors holding discussions about their work

On two consecutive Sundays, on 23 June and 30 June, two films by Egyptian directors — EXT. Night (Leil Kharegi) and The Mice Room — will be screened at the Alexandria Library.

The screenings are under the themed programme of 'Feature Films in Hard Times,' curated by Bibliotheca Alexandria.

EXT. Night is directed by Ahmad Abdalla, written by Sherif El-Alfy and produced by Hala Lotfy.

The 2018 adventure/biographical drama stars Karim Kassem, Mona Hala, Sherif Dessouky, Basma, Ahmed Malek, among others.

The film follows three individuals who break social norms and test boundaries when they meet on an extraordinary night. Each character is fighting their own battle, leading to an unexpected journey in the city.

Filmmaker Ahmad Abdalla will be present for a discussion with the audience.
