President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi visited the Military Academy in an inspection tour at dawn on Saturday.



El-Sisi followed up on the daily training programmes of students, which improves their physical fitness, in addition to skill preparations. The president also took part in the students' morning sports activities.



According to a statement by the Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady, Minister of Defence Mohamed Zaki and Army Chief-of-Staff Mohamed Farid accompanied the president on his tour.



El-Sisi stressed to the cadets the importance of training, saying it is one of the main pillars of preparing officers and future leaders of the armed forces.



He to explained to them that training develops the students' ability to carry out their tasks of protecting the country and maintaining its security and stability.



The president also highlighted in his remarks to the cadets the necessity of creating a new generation of commanders and fighters who are equipped with high physical, scientific capabilities and combat skills to meet current challenges.



Rady said that El-Sisi advised students to maintain their high mental and combat readiness, and to uphold the values of military discipline.



The presidential spokesperson added that El-Sisi stressed to students that they have a great responsibility as role models for all young Egyptians, on top to their future role in protecting the homeland and preserving its capabilities.
