Ahly midfielder Karim 'Nedved' Walid has returned from Germany after recovering from knee cartilage surgery, while winger Ramadan Sobhi is fit for the upcoming matches in the Egyptian Premiere League, Ahly's technical staff told the club's media centre on Friday.

The 21-year-old midfielder Nedved had suffered from a knee injury during the Maqassa match last April.

"The player is continuing his rehabilitation programme to fully recover from the recent knee cartilage surgery in Germany," Ahly's technical staff said.

"Nedved has returned from Germany after checking on his knee, as undergoing medical examinations to make sure that his condition is improving," the staff added.

Nedved participated during the current season with Ahly in 33 matches, scoring five goals.

Meanwhile, Ahly's technical staff assured that the 22-year-old winger Sobhi will be ready to support the team in the forthcoming matches in the EPL.

The Red Castle, which leads the EPL table with 74 points from 32 matches, is scheduled to resume his path in the local league on Wednesday by facing off against Arab Contractors at Borg Al-Arab Stadium.
