The 17-page report revealed that the security apparatus facilitated the tragic events that followed when fans stormed the pitch following a match between local El-Masry Club and El-Ahly Club.
According to the report, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) also fell short of performing its duty and did not apply international regulations set by FIFA regarding measures needed to secure a match. The report pointed out that EFA did not perform thorough searches and allowed fans holding solid objects, lasers and weapons to enter the stadium.
