Mon 16, 8pm: In the mark of the 209th celebration of the Mexican Independence Day on the 16th of September 2019, the Alma de Cuerdas (Spirit of the strings) ensemble will present this concert. The talented group formed by seven musicians, merged popular music with classic rhythms giving their concerts a special character that allowed them to perform in international festivals like: United States, China and now for the first time in Egypt. This group was formed in 2015 in the south western state of Mexico, Oaxaca and since then they have made a solid prestige status despite their young age.

This concert is sponsored by the Embassy of Mexico in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture in Egypt. It is a joint expression of solidarity and cooperation between Mexico and Egypt.

Thurs 12, 9pm: Mauve is a down-tempo/ambient electronic duo by producer/multi-instrumentalist Bishoy George and singer/songwriter Rima Al-Sharkawy. Their sound is influenced by various genres like soul, ambient and drum and bass.

Fri 13, 9pm: DJs Youssef El-Aguizi and Yehia Fahim, better known as Aguizi & Fahim, burst onto the scene in 2013 after winning Electrum Records’ Student DJ competition.

Sat 14, 9pm: The Dubai based instrumental trio Noon is an experimental music project that takes elements of traditional Oriental music and merges it into polyrhythmic jazz/rock. Drawn from different cultural and musical backgrounds, the instrumental trio bravely embody the idea of East and West musical fusions.

Sun 15, 9pm: Nouran Abutaleb absorbed Arabic and classical music that shaped her singing.
Thurs 19, 9pm: Funk Off, a high-energy band that covers all of your favourite hits from different genres such as funk, disco, blues, rock and pop.

New Cairo

The new branch of Room Art Space hosts live music shows on a daily basis. Room’s new branch is located in The Spot mall in front of AUC gate on 4,370 square metres with indoor and outdoor areas where live music events and concerts are featured on a daily bases, hosting up to 400 guests per event, and its open from 9am till after midnight.
