On the occasion of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's participation in the 74th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), the presidential media center released a film on Egypt's role in the establishment of the United Nations.

Egypt is one of the 50 founding members of the United Nations and has a long tradition of engagement and cooperation with the UN since its creation in 1945, its main bodies, its specialized agencies as well as its various funds and programs.

The two-minute film explained that Egypt's participation in the UNGA this year comes as Egypt chairs the African Union in 2019, seeking to advance the aspirations of the African people in achieving sustainable development, security, peace, and justice.

The video also tells the story of the Egyptians who are involved in construction and development at home in the past few years, stressing that they achieved a "development miracle " in various fields.

Moreover, the video featured excerpts from President El-Sisi's speeches to the UN General Assembly from 2014 to 2018, in which he presented Egypt's vision on all international and regional issues.

El-Sisi arrived in New York on Friday to participate in the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, with a busy schedule that includes participating in a number of high-level conferences and meetings with world leaders.

El-Sisi is scheduled to hold a number of meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of UNGA, where he will discuss and exchange viewpoints on boosting bilateral ties with Egypt in various fields.
