Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saafan on Tuesday announced 6th of October as a fully paid day off for all private sector employees subject to labor law No. 12 of 2003.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the minister noted that employers who will operate their businesses on that day should offer their employees double the normal wage.

The day marks the anniversary of the 6th of October war victory.
