Both Zamalek and Maqassa will be fighting for their second victory in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League, as they will meet at Al-Salam Stadium on Thursday.

Zamalek won in their domestic league opener 1-0 against Ittihad of Alexandria, meanwhile Maqassa's first three points were collected after they defeated their hosts Aswan in a tough game which witnessed Maqassa's come back from one goal behind to a 3-2 victory.

The two teams have already faced each other with the same squads on 28 August in Egypt Cup's quarter-final, where Zamalek's Abdallah Gomaa scored the only goal of the game to gift his team a precious win. The Cup title was later clinched by the Whites.

Zamalek will be missing their playmaker Yousef 'Obama' Ibrahim due to a knee injury, while the situation of Mahmoud 'El-Wensh' Hamdy is still unknown if he's going to be among the called-up squad or not. Meanwhile Makassa will be at full strength for the match.

The Serbian coach of Zamalek, Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has requested from his players to concentrate and continue their fight for the league title, during the team's training held at the club on Teusday, according to Zamalek's official website.

On the other side, Zamalek former striker and current Maqassa coach Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam has reportedly warned his players from committing the same mistakes which caused their elimination from the Egypt Cup at the hands of Zamalek.

Thursday's match might not be broadcast on television as Maqassa claim overdue money from the advertising agency that sponsors the Egyptian league.
