Egypt are in tenth place with two games left in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup
Egypt were defeated for the sixth consecutive match at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup in Japan on Friday, losing to Japan 3-2.
The Pharaohs lost the first set 25-14, won the second set 25-18, before losing the third set 23-25.
In a very competitive fourth set, the Pharaohs came out victorious 30-28, but Japan manged to secure the win by snatching the tie set 15-13.
Egypt remains in tenth place on 8 points, ahead of Australia and Tunisia, who lie in the 12-place rankings table.
The Pharaohs' next game will be against fellow Arab team Tunisia on Sunday at 10am Cairo local time (GMT+2).
Egypt won their first two matches against Australia and Iran, before losing six straight.
The World Cup comprises 12 teams: Japan, Egypt, Italy, Russia, Poland, Iran, Australia, Tunisia, USA, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.
