Some 10,000 Egyptian fans will be allowed to attend Egypt’s friendly against Botswana at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab stadium on Monday, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Saturday.

The Pharaohs will host Botswana on Monday during their preparatory camp under new coach Hossam El-Badry

El-Badry called up a 19-man squad from the local-based players, including three new faces.

Ahly's veteran right-back Ahmed Fathi also returned to the national team after more than a year and half absence.

On 22 September, coach El-Badry called up five foreign-based players including star winger Mohamed Salah for the Botswana match, before deciding recently to excuse the Liverpool player in order to allow him extra time to rest.

Egypt are competing in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The first official tests for El-Badry with the national team will be facing Kenya and Comoros in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in November.
