An 85th-minute penalty gave Maqassa a precious 1-0 victory against Masry on Thursday, leading the club to claim their second season win in four games.

The 38-year-old striker Salah Amin– who has played for a half-dozen Egyptian clubs including Ismaily, Talae El-Gaish and Smouha – came off the bench in the 82nd minute to convert the spot kick that his teammate Mohamed Mossaad earned after being fouled in the area by Nigerian midfielder Eze Emeka.

It is Amin's first goal this season in three games totaling 43 minutes in his 13th Premier League season.

Amin has scored a total of 73 top flight career goals including 69 league goals since he made his Premier League debut at Ismaily in 2006.

Maqassa have now moved to the sixth place with six points after four games.

El-Entag El-Harby also claimed a narrow 1-0 victory against Enppi on Thursday. Mohamed Ragab headed home the winner in the 54th to give his side their second victory of the season with a total of six points.

Enppi is suffering a disastrous start of the season as they are bottom of the table with just a single point after four games.
