Salah returns to Liverpool's trainings on Monday, says Egypt's coach

Egypt national football team coach Hossam El-Badry revealed Sunday that the team's star winger Mohamed Salah returns to Liverpool's normal training sessions on Monday after recovering from an ankle injury.

The 27-year-old Salah was dropped from Liverpool's final squad ahead of the 1-1 draw Manchester United in a Premier League clash on Sunday as he didn't recover from the injury on time.

"I spoke with Salah and he confirmed that he will return to Liverpool's trainings starting tomorrow after recovering from the injury," El-badry told a television programme on Sunday.

"Salah will show up in Egypt's national team camp next November ahead of playing Kenya and Comoros,"

Salah sustained an ankle injury during the Reds' 2-1 win over Leicester City on 5 October due to a nasty challenge from midfielder Hamza Choudhury.

On Tuesday, Salah seemed set to overcome the injury after re-joining training, only to be sidelined ahead of the United match.

Egypt national football team to start a preparatory camp on 28 October as the Egyptian Premier League will be suspended due to the country's hosting of U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Pharaohs, who are competing in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers alongside the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, will start their campaign on 15 November when they host Kenya in the Nations Cup qualifiers before facing Comoros in an away game four days later.
