India hopes to settle a dispute over payments with Iran oil this week, as part of India sought to balance its energy needs and diplomatic interests, said S. Sndareisan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Indian Oil.


The two countries could not find a solution on how to pay dues oil after India's central bank said in December, that no settlement will take place of the Iranian payments, through the clearing system which is managed by central banks.
