Squash: Gohar beat Perry to set up El-Welily showdown in Women's World Championship semis

Egyptian player Nouran Gohar saved two game ball before beating Sarah-Jane Perry of England (3-1) to reach the Women's World Championship semis on Tuesday.

Gohar came back after losing the first set 9-11 to win 11-8, 13-11 and 12-10 in 57 minutes and face Raneem El Welily in the semis.

World number 1 El Welily reached the semi-finals after compatriot Nour El-Tayeb retired in the quarters.

El-Tayeb retired after three minutes while El-Welily was leading 7-0 in the first game.

Meanwhile, Egyptian player Hania El-Hammamy (14) will have a tough mission in the tournament's quarters on Wednesday when she faces World number 3 Camille Serme of France.

Also on Wednesday, world number 2 Nour El-Sherbini will take on Joelle King of New Zealand.
