Egypt's finance ministry to float int'l bonds in global markets soon
MENA , Wednesday 30 Oct 2019

The Egyptian finance ministry is set to issue international bonds in dollars to make maximum use of the current improvement in the emerging markets' economic conditions given the increasing demand from foreign investors for Egypt's international bonds.

In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said that five international investment banks were qualified to promote the new international bonds in the global financial markets as part of the funding programme of the fiscal year 2019/2020 budget.

The qualified banks are JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, Natixis bank, BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered, which are considered among the major banks specialised in floating governmental bonds at international markets.
