Minister of Agriculture Ezz El-Din Abu Steit, and Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi, opened on Saturday the first edition of the Autumn Flower Exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture in the garden of the Egyptian Agricultural Museum in Dokki, Giza.

Some 170 companies working in landscaping, flowers, ornamental plants, shade plants, rare cacti, and landscaping and gardening supplies are participating in the exhibition that will be running for 45 days.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the agriculture ministry will hold educational and awareness seminars to educate the people on ornamental plants and flowers.

The agriculture minister said the exhibition was inspired by the ministry’s popular ‘Spring Flower Exhibition’ whose 86th edition was held between 21 March and 5 April 2019 at the Orman Garden in Giza.

The Spring Flower Exhibition is the largest and oldest annual flower and plant exhibition in the Arab region.

According to a statement by the agriculture ministry, the Egyptian Agricultural Museum is the second most important agricultural museum in the world after the Agricultural Museum in Budapest, Hungary.

TheEgyptian Agricultural Museumwas built in 1930 over 30 acres. It contains eight museums that document Egypt's agricultural history since the prehistoric era.
