The Al-Ahram Pharmaceutical Exhibition and Conference is scheduled to open on Saturday at Al-Masa Hotel in Nasr City.

The two-day conference, held by Al-Ahram Establishment, is planned to become an annual event.

The conference is organised under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and will be attended by officials and prominent figures in the pharmaceutical industry.

Challenges to pharmaceutical production, being one of Egypt's national security concerns, will be thoroughly discussed in the conference, along with medication pricing systems in Egypt, registration, exporting, competitiveness, quality, and hurdles encountering the manufacture of raw materials.

The conference will also tackle the new comprehensive health insurance scheme, clinical trials, the manufacturing of vital and biological medications, and the increasing opportunities of exporting Egypt's pharmaceutical products.

Al-Ahram Establishment decided to hold the event in light of its responsibility, spanning 144 years, to shed light on critical affairs that concern the Egyptian public.
