African-Arab economic conference kicks off in Cairo

The first African Arab economic conference opened on Thursday in Cairo, discussing the means of realising integration between Arab and African states.

The event is organised by the Council of Arab Economic Unity in tandem with the Arab African Council for Integration and Development, as well as civil community, universities, research centres and banks.

The conference is meant to promote economic and social cooperation between Arab and African states by boosting joint investments and trade.

The talks will also tackle legislation that could enhance Arab-African cooperation.

The conference will underline the importance of using green energy resources in Arab and African states, in addition to adopting eco-friendly industrial mechanisms.
