Egyptian TV show 'Miss Farah' based on US comedy Jane the Virgin begins airing this week

The new series stars Asma Abulyazeid, Ahmed Magdy, Rania Youssef, Arfa Abdel Rassoul and Mohamed Kilany


A new television series, Anesa Farah (“Miss Farah”), will begin airing on MBC4 channel starting this Sunday.

Directed by Ahmed El-Guindy and with a script by Mahmoud Ezzat and Amr Medhat, the events of the series are based on the American satirical telenovela Jane the Virgin.

The comic plot revolves around a family of three generations living in one house.

The beginning of the series focuses on Farah, who receives advice from her grandmother. This advice has unexpected results when a sudden event changes Farah's life and she has to confront a new reality and a medical mistake.

Anesa Farah stars Asma Abulyazeid, Ahmed Magdy, Rania Youssef, Arfa Abdel Rassoul and Mohamed Kilany.
