British Ambassador in Egypt Geoffrey Adams said that the UK is eager to continue developmental cooperation with Egypt whose economic growth is increasing and its business climate is improving.

Adams' statements came during a meeting on Thursday with Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation Rania El-Mashat.

El-Mashat highlighted the ministry’s vision that aims to strengthen the multilateral partnership with development partners, governments, and international economic policy-makers to achieve Egypt’s national development agenda 2030, which is in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The UK is the largest foreign investor in the Egyptian market with total investments worth $47.4 billion, which are invested in education, infrastructure, communications and information technology, and social development.

The UK is to host the African-British investment Summit in January to boost the UK's and other countries' investments in Africa.
