Ahly lead the Egyptian Premier League table with 36 points with the least number of games played in the current season's 12 matches

Ahly's winger Ramadan Sobhi will miss Pyramids FC's game in the Egyptian Premier League next Thursday because he hasn't fully recovered from a hamstring injury sustained in December. However, Ahmed Fathi and in-form winger Junior Ajayi have recovered and ready to play, according to Ahly's head of the medical staff.

"Sobhi will be ruled out from the Pyramids game. He still needs more time to fully recover. He hasn't finished his rehabilitation yet," Ahly's doctor Khaled Mahmoud said in a press conference after Ahly's training session on Monday.

The 23-year-old winger torn his hamstring during training. The injury has prevented him from playing in matches since.

The Reds' full back Fathi sustained an injury during the team's latest game when Ahly visited Al-Hilal of Sudan in the final round of the Confederation of African Football's Champions League, which ended 1-1.

"Fathi had a training session in the gym on Monday, after being injured in Sudan, and will enrol in a rehabilitation programme. We will follow up with him in the next two days," Ahly's doctor revealed.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Nigerian forward, Ajayi, missed Monday's training after catching a cold, but he will return to the training on Tuesday and will be ready for Pyramids game.

Mahmoud said Yasser Ibrahim, who suffered a bruise in the head during Al-Hilal game, is also ready for the Pyramids match.

The Red Devils, who qualified for the quarterfinals after placing second in Group B, are waiting to face one of the big African teams -- Tunisian Esperance, DR Congo's TP Mazembe or South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns -- who reached the knockout stage after leading their groups.

Ahly are now leading the Egyptian Premier League table with 36 points with the least number of games played in the current season's 12 matches.
