Parl't speaker reaffirms Egypt’s support for ME just peace

The speaker of Egypt’s House of Representatives, Ali Abdel-Aal, has stressed that Egypt backs just peace that guarantees security and stability in the Middle East.

He made his statements in the 30th Emergency Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (APU), held in Jordan on Saturday.

The event aimed to discuss the latest developments related to the Palestinian cause with the participation of 21 Arab lawmakers.

The speaker reiterated that Egypt supports peace that secures cooperation among peoples and helps implement development and prosperity.

Abdel-Aal warned that any unilateral procedures aiming to change the real situation could only lead to raise escalation in the region with lack of hope and losing of confidence of the international community.

He asserted that Egypt does not oppose any initiatives that seek to improve living and humanitarian conditions for the Palestinians with radical solutions for their sufferings.

Abdel-Aal said Egypt has a firm stance on the Palestine cause pursuant to the relevant resolutions of the United Nations and rules and provisions of the international law.

He added that Egypt will be always supporting the Palestinians until they restore their full rights to establish an independent state, whose capital will be East Jerusalem.
