Alassane Ouattara's offer to form a unity government rejected by the incumbent president
The party of Ivory Coast leader Laurent Gbagbo on Tuesday rejected an offer from the man deemed to have beaten him to the presidency to form a unity cabinet in order to end the political crisis.
Pascal Affi N'Guessan, who heads the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI), told AFP the victory over Alassane Ouattara was "non-negotiable" after Ouattara's camp said the rival camps could work together, provided Gbagbo stand down as president.
