15:30 Cairo stadium management announced the pitch is ready host the Cairo derby clash despite the torrential rain.
"Everything is ready to host the game as we have a well working water drainage system, so there is no problems to host the game," Cairo stadium manager Walid Abdel-Wahab told reporters a few hours before the game.
