Week 2 of Arab Fund for Arts and Culture 'Screens and Streams' brings new films, music online

‘Screens and Streams’ is the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture initiative of sharing chosen films and music works which have been supported by the fund


In its second week since the launch of'Screens and Streams' initiative, theArab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) released new films and music representing works that the fund has been supportingover the 14 years of its activities across the Arab region.

Available online, for free, the releases are available from 9 to 14 April representing a new selection of Arab independent films produced between 2008 and 2016 anda playlist compiling twenty AFAC-supported music tracks from ten albums.

According to the information released by AFAC, the selection of films and music will be refreshed on weekly basis under the title of ‘Screens and Streams’.

The film releases are a rethought adaptation of the annual AFAC Film Weeks.

In music segment, AFAC releases a compilation of twenty tracks from ten music albums.

The tracks include Maryam Saleh, Tamer Abu Ghazaleh and Maurice Louca – Lekhfa; Wassim Halal – Le Cri du Cyclope; Yacine Boulares – Suite for Abu Sadiya; Kabreet – Momken Bokra; Hello Psychaleppo – Toyour; Maias Alyamani – A Decade of Maqam Ensemble; Oumi – Imaginary Dance; Ghassan Sahhab – Sharqi (My Orient); Alaa Zouiten – Talking Oud; and Asaad Kamal Hamzy – Three Dances Suite.
