Book Signing: Alaa Al-Aswany's latests, Did the Egyptian Revolution Go Wrong?

Internationally-renowned writer and activist Alaa Al-Aswany will attend Alef Book Store event on Friday 23 March to host a discussion about his latest work examining the aftermath of the 18 day uprising and the ongoing revolution


Alef book store, Maadi branch, will host renowned Egyptian writer and activist Alaa Al-Aswany on Friday, 23 March at 7:00pm in a book-signing and discussion event about his latest workHalAkhta’at AlThawra Amasriya (Did the Egyptian Revolution Go Wrong?).

The book tackles the ongoing revolution by examining the aftermath of the 18-day uprising and the mistakes made during the transitional period following Mubarak's ouster on 11 February 2011. Raising questions about the movement's, Aswanyalso looks at how to sustain the revolution.

Alaa Al-Aswany is best known for his internationally renowned novelImarat Ya‘qubian (The Yacoubian Building) 2002. His books have been translated into English, French, Spanish and German among other languages. Al-Aswany is the founding member of theKefaya(Enough) protest movementonce and was once included in JordanianRoyal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre's list of the top 500 most influential Muslims in the world.
