West Bromwich's Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazi scored a fine goal and was later given a red card as his side earned a precious 4-2 win over Hull City in the Championship to edge closer to Premier League promotion on Sunday.

The towering central defender scored the second for West Brom in the 37th minute after heading home from a corner, taking his tally to four goals since joining the team in January 2018.

He was booked after 12 minutes before receiving his marching orders in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card.

Hegazi celebrated his 100th appearance with West Brom in their 3-0 victory over Sheffield on Wednesday.

With five games remaining in the Championship, West Brom are close to Premier League return as they are second with 77 points, just one behind leaders Leeds United and five ahead of third-placed Brentford.

The top two sides in the Championship clinch automatic promotion to the elite Premier League.
