The Cairo Opera House is hosting a series of events during the month of August starting with Black Theama on Wednesday, a day before Ali El-Haggar's concert
Renowned Egyptian singer Ali El-Haggar will perform on 6 August at the Cairo Opera House's newly-established open-air stage Fountain Theatre.
"My heart is filled with joy because I will see you again. You are Egypt's elite listeners," said the veteran singer.
El-Haggar, 66, who has been releasing new singles recently, will be introducing some of his famous TV show themes alongside some of his most memorable songs in which he collaborated with iconic composers and poets in more than four decades of a flourishing career.
The Cairo Opera House is hosting a series of events during the month of August including concerts for Black Theama (Wednesday 5), Boghdady Big Band (Friday 7), Medhat Saleh (Thursday 12), Mohamed El-Helw (Friday 21), and many other events.
Egypt resumed public culture activities last month as part of phase one of the country's cautious reopening following the COVID-19 lockdown, with all events held under strict measures that include social distancing, obligatory facemasks, and sanitising.
