Papel's contract is reportedly worth around $2.2 million, making the Angolan star one of the highest paid players at Zamalek

Despite not yet wearing the Zamalek jersey, Angola national team left winger Ary Papel has expressed his anger at the management of the Whites as he didn't receive his salary for three months since inking his contract with the Cairo based club.

Zamalek, who didn't announce the deal officially, reportedly signed a three-year contract with Primeiro de Agosto’s Angola international winger Ary Papel starting from the new season.

Papel's contract is reportedly worth around $2.2 million, making the Angolan star one of the highest paid players at Zamalek.

"I am depressed with Zamalek's way of dealing with me as the team's football supervisor Amir Mortada Mansour doesn't answer my calls or messages," Papel told a television programme late Saturday.

"I can't find a direct contact with the team's management," he added.

"I expected Zamalek management to deal with me in a professional way, but Amir didn't answer my calls," he continued.

"I have a family and I didn't receive my salary for three months; it's a kind of disrespect," he said.

"If they don't want to officiate the deal with me, they have to answer my calls at least," the Angolan star added.

"I am depressed with this way of dealing with me as I know Zamalek fans love me and I follow their messages and I want to play for the team, but if the problem doesn't resolve, I will deal with them as a professional player and I will play for another team," Papel said.

The 26-year-old Papel, who spent 18 months in Portugal at Sporting Lisbona between January 2017 and July 2018 before returning to his homeboy club, made a good impression in the African Champions League, scoring twice in 11 games.
